Monday Eye Candy, or, Fighting the Post-Lunch Drowse

Those of us on the East Coast of the U.S. still have a couple of hours left in our workday as I write this, and I just feel all-around sorry for you on the West Coast (except for, you know, the part where you get to live on the West Coast). And I don't even know if it's still Monday in India. But I'm going to pretend it's Ajnabi Time everywhere, and that means it is time for Eye Candy--Onscreen Jodi Edition!

Example: Hrithik and Aish. I love them onscreen together; their combined perfection leads to jaw-dropping and, perhaps, some queries directed to God as to life's unfairness. Not that I'm admitting anything.

Then there's Siddharth and Genelia. These two blow up the screen with the cute quotient.

Speaking of cute, Aamir and Juhi rocked cute back in the day. If they'd just kiss and make up (and then make Juhi be a heroine to Aamir's hero again) I'd be one happy Bolly-camper:

Aamir, I don't know why, but I feel ignored right now. C'mon.

Of course, one jodi that we'll see again very soon (in the-I'm-trying-to-believe-the-best-for My Name is Khan, and that stretches all my faith in the Power of Yeh Jodi because oh my gosh, SRK playing autistic? Someone save me):

Why, yes, Shah Rukh, you're right! It is time for younger jodis to make a splash, and here is a gorgeous example:
Imran and Sonam know that they are hotter than you. (I love this one so much that it's my cell phone's wallpaper at the moment.) This is cheating, since their jodi isn't technically onscreen yet, but it will be soon! Hm. I probably should have some Rani-Saif and/or Rani-Abhishek (Abhiiiiiiiii! My inner fangirl just screamed that she loves his hair short), but my enjoyment of the former has been severely tried with TPTM, of which more coming up later this week. Till then, I'll leave you with these:

I don't think Monday gets much better than that!

You've totally made my Monday. :-D Aish+Hrithik has to be the most purrfect pair ever! And do I see Rani with Shahid?!! Wow!!!! I want to see that film.

I didn't know what to expect with the Shahid Priyanka jodi, but the Pehli Baar Mohabbat song promo blew me away. They look AWESOME together. Their chemistry is sweet and sizzling at the same time. I am looking for good screen caps from that clip.

I think Rani looks older than Shahid in close ups but I'll reserve my judgement on that until I see more of the movie.

But they've done that already! As for their pairing in a new film, you're so right. Wouldn't it be cool to see them again? I was hoping they'd share screen space in Luck By Chance, if only for a minute, but of course, they're too cool for that. =)

PS: Genelia D'Souza! 8)

Filmi Girl: I know, right? I am totally the queen of substantial, Mensa-quality blogging. If Filmfare ever profiles me I have no doubt this is the post they will choose to exemplify my awesomeness.

bollyviewer: Yes! Dil Bole Hadippa comes out September 18, and I. Can't. WAIT. (Plus, Hrithik & Aish in a SLB movie! Should be interesting, hai na?)

Hi Neha! I know, I was so surprised to see how well Priyanka and Shahid look together. As for Rani looking older, I didn't really see it, but even if she does look a teensy bit older that's not a problem for me. I don't think women have to be younger than their men. ;-)

tBF: You're right--at least they'll appear publicly at the same functions and stuff! But *pout* I want to see them onscreen again together! And, yeah, Genelia ROCKS (though I suspect we appreciate her differently LOL). Can't wait to see her next film.

What a wonderful way to end my crappy Monday!
As for the quality of this post, it is up there with the very finest literary minds! More please!

I never knew what I was missing until I saw Hrithik and Aish paired in Dhoom 2. I actually think that it's illegal to be that good looking together!

Do you think that Juhi and Aamir would still make a good jodi years later? I'd like to find that out. Oh, and, OMG - that pic of Aamir is to die for.

Yes, SRK and Kajol rule in my book. That is a stunning pic of Kajol too. Wowza!

Thanks!!!!!! I needed that.

Shell: Good to see you recognize true quality blogging. ;-) In the last song from Dhoom 2, when they're dancing at Mardi Gras, oh. My. GOSH. It really *should* be illegal. And yeah, I totally think Aamir-Juhi would be great, if they'd agree (although she seems to be liking the production side of things quite a lot).

Darshit: They do look awesome, don't they? And I can't wait to read your review... too bad I have to wait for the DVD. :-(

Nicki: Me too! It's one of the reasons we're so blog-compatible. ;-)

Bhargav: OMG! I thought those were sideburns in the promos but they're blinkers! That's hilarious!
